Situated in South Norfolk, the 14th in a series of highly successful biennial workshops will take place this year in the market town of Harleston.
A non–residential weekend, it begins at 10.00am on the Friday and concludes on the Sunday evening with a performance of the works studied (entrance to this PERFORMANCE IS FREE).
Typically about 80 participants from Norfolk, Suffolk and beyond attend in a happy blend of younger and older, professional and amateur.
The workshop is open to all but we recommend that students and pupils are of a Grade 6+ standard.
This year our Musical Director will be Kenneth Ian Hytch, composer and conductor.
As well as Sibelius’ Symphony No 5 Op 82, the full orchestra will be able to enjoy one of Ian’s works with a Norfolk flavour!
Please APPLY for a place on this weekend of hard but satisfying of music-making. Simply print and return the Booking Form following the directions on the form, AS SOON AS POSSIBLE, for a weekend of hard but satisfying work making music.
The small market town of Harleston is just up the road from Pulham Market, our usual venue. Our village amenities this year are compromised by building works at the Primary School and the closure (temporary we hope) of The Crown Inn.
Harleston has two inns and several other places to eat, and the cafe at Pulham Pennoyers Centre is just a 5-minute drive away. We are able to use the excellent facilities of Archbishop Sancroft High School where many of our excellent team of regular tutors will be waiting for you.
We look forward to seeing you.
Fees are £55 (£45 for PVO members) & £36 for students of 18 or under.
