From St Matthew Passion in the arrangement made in 1841 by Mendelssohn. Performed in 1993 by Das Neue Orchester with Chorus Musicus, conducted by Christoph Spering.

Disc 2: Brahms: Trio in A minor for clarinet, cello and piano, opus 114
Martin Fröst clarinet, Clemens Hagen cello, Leif Ove Andsnes piano, performed in 2010 at the International Chamber Music Festival, Norway.

** Disc 3: Donizetti: 'Eccola!' (The Mad Scene) from Lucia di Lammermoor 
Performed by Dame Joan Sutherland in the Australian Opera's 1986 production at the Sydney Opera House.

**Disc 4: Schubert: Winterreise
Baritone: Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau, Piano: Gerald Moore. 1962.

**Disc 5: Dylan Thomas: Under Milk Wood
Recorded 1954, with Richard Burton as 'First Voice'.

Disc 6: Britten: Serenade for Tenor, Horn and Strings
Tenor: Peter Pears, Horn: Dennis Brain.

Disc 7: Monteverdi: Pulchra es anima mea from the Vespers
Sung by Emma Kirkby and Tessa Bonner, conductor Andrew Parrott.

Disc 8: Stravinsky: Rite of Spring
Gergiev conducting the London Symphony Orchestra

And one extra! Schubert: String Quintet in C major D956
Borodin Quartet with Alexander Buzlov (cello)
