You are very welcome to join us:
1. As an instrumentalist:
We welcome new members and at present are particularly
looking for players of the following instruments: French Horn and any
instrument in the string section.
We welcome players of all standards (but you will need some sight-reading skills!) and meet on the afternoon of the 2nd
and 4th Tuesday of each month.
If you would like to sample a single rehearsal, why not come to one of our fringe evenings and give us a try without any commitment. It is important, however, to contact John Herschel Shorland before hand to ensure that music can be brought along for you.
2. as a Friend or as a Patron:
Friends and Patrons contribute to the activities of the orchestra and receive a number of perks:
Friends:
A donation of (at least) £10 annually entitles you to bring yourself and a party of family and friends to one concert a year. You also receive a copy of the annual newsletter and this year, 2009, we are hosting a special Soirée for Friends and Patrons.
Patrons:
In return for an agreed contribution to our funds, Patrons can receive publicity on our Notice Board at concerts, in our concert programmes and on the website, receive the annual newsletter and also receive free tickets to our concerts for themselves and members of their family.
